Service Description

Travel companions are in demand as the market grows for senior and disabled adults who require assistance for traveling. This 2-day virtual interactive program provides detailed training to a variety of professionals interested in starting a business or working as a travel companion. Participants will gain knowledge and skills to assess, plan and execute travel to meet the unique needs of a variety of clients with travel challenges. When/Where: Friday, April 11th & Saturday, April 12th, 2025 8am – 4pm CST Virtual Program Event (Zoom links will be sent upon registration) Participants Will Walk Away With: -Business strategies to create and succeed in your own travel companion company -Abilities to assess and mitigate possible health and behavioral challenges during travel -Approaches to maintain client safety and comfort throughout travel -Tactics to plan, problem-solve and orchestrate a variety of travel scenarios Who Should Attend: -Individuals with health or social service backgrounds serving older adults -Travel savvy individuals with excellent interpersonal skills What’s Included: -Lectures, handouts, forms, “Travel Well” book, travel tools to get your business started -Access to recorded lectures for 60 days post-training -Ongoing mentoring following training -Listed as a Certified Senior TravALZ Companion to website and the opportunity to receive client referrals from Faculty Cost: Early bird price of $1,500 through 3/21/25. $1,650 thereafter. Inclusive of all training and mentoring to completion of an actual trip and certification. Cancellations before 3/21/25 will be subject to a full refund minus credit card fees. Cancellations after 3/28/25 will get a 50% refund.
